Care Home Housekeeper Job

Main purpose of job

To ensure standards of cleanliness for Patrons’ care are maintained at all times.

Main responsibilities

To maintain a high standard of care and comfort for Patrons, in line with their individual care plans.

Main duties

Follow the allocated cleaning schedule for all areas of the Home.
Ensure correct use of equipment and cleaning materials.
Manage and replenish stock levels of paper towels, toilet tissue and detergents etc as well as preparing the trolleys.
Ensure safe and correct use and storage of all cleaning and washing materials, in line with COSHH regulations.
Monitor stock levels and review weekly, to avoid loss or abuse.
Provide adequate ventilation to all areas and unsure lights and appliances are switched off when not in use.
Report repairs and maintenance issues to management.
